Format: stunning large and very rare box set! This is a truly immersive study of the ‘Smile’ sessions post the ‘Pet Sounds’ album 1966-67 and includes the following content:
· Box with 3-D shadow box version of the Smile album cover.
· 2 180-Gram Vinyl LPs in a gatefold cover - exact reproduction of original front and back art.
· 12-page photo booklet and a 24"x36" poster of original album cover art.
· Double-foldout printed cardstock "slipcase" containing two 7" singles with covers and five CDs.
· 60-page hardbound book with essays, lyrics, sessionography, original artwork, previously unreleased photos and more.
Now super rare and very desirable….
Condition: The contents are in superb condition, and I have played the disks one to rip only. There are minimal markings to the beautiful and delicate outer box. There is a tiny corner split in the surface of the top left-hand corner, and a split in the corner of the left-hand top corner of the base. These are minor imperfections, and this is a truly lovely version of the box set. I have no hesitation in grading this overall at excellent condition and a great example!
