Description

In this auction is a RARE BEACH BOYS PROMOTIONAL RECORD. As you may know, PROMO RECORDS were only released by record companies to the radio stations and/or DJs for airplay or juke box play and were not released to the general public.

 

Here are the details:

 

·       “THE BEACH BOYS TODAY!” by The Beach Boys 

·       This is a PROMOTIONAL 7-Inch Extended Play Compact 33 Record.

·       This is CAPITOL RECORDS DU - 2269.

·       It was released in 1968.

·       As you may know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS, such as the one in this auction, were issued by Capitol Records in very limited quantities and only made available for promotional purposes to, for example, to DJs at the Radio Stations for on-air play or for juke box play. They were NOT released to the general public, so they are VERY sought after due to their rarity and limited quantities.

·       This Compact 33, also referred to as an LLP (Little Long Play) has 3 songs on each side:

Side 1:  “Kiss Me Baby”, “Don’t Hurt My Little Sister” and “In the Back of My Mind”

 

Side 2:  “I’m So Young”, “Good to My Baby” and “She Knows Me Too Well”

 

·       The LABELS are NICE & CLEAN with VERY MINIMAL WEAR as you can see in the images.

·       The VINYL is in NICE/STRONG VG CONDITION (maybe WEAK VG+). There are some surface scuffs/hairlines on both sides (none “feelable”).

·       There is NO PICTURE COVER for this record in this auction.
