The Beach Boys WILD HONEY T 2859 Original CAPITOL LP release from 1967, in glorious MONO, just the way Brian made it. In original SHRINK with matrix #s ending in G2/G2. Scranton, Pa. pressing.
NOTE : Next to PET SOUNDS, this is one of the best BEACH BOYS records. A lot of people, even big Beach Boys fans, don't realize that the music on this album was written and recorded at the same time as PET SOUNDS and released just after that masterwork. It is, in many ways, a companion recording to PET SOUNDS, the other side of the same coin. Where one is all about teenage angst and is ballad heavy, the other is full of the upbeat and infectious good feelings and is rhythm oriented. From start to finish a bunch of great songs and great singing with Brian still very much in charge. A very underrated record that deserves to be appreciated right up there with PET SOUNDS.
VINYL - EXCELLENT. A few scuffs and light hairlines that do not affect playback. Clean labels. Very nice player.
JACKET - NM. Still in the original SHRINK with the original sales sticker. Nice and tight. Great color. No names, stains, dents, rips, seam splits, ring wear, etc.
