Description
'The Beatles 1' is a compilation album containing every Beatles song that reached #1 on the Billboard record charts from 1962 through 1970 in Great Britain and the United States. This is the original release of the LP from 2000.This is a double LP on 180 gram vinyl and the songs were remastered specifically for this release. The original analogue masters were "digitally remastered at 24 bit resolution and mastered to 16 bit using Prism SNS noise shaping. The remastering was overseen by Peter Mew at Abbey Roads Studio. The reception of 1 surpassed all critical and commercial expectations. It reached number 1 in over 35 countries, achieving the record for the album debuting at the top of the most national charts ever. It became the highest-selling of 2000 and, some time later, of the entire decade. This achievement made the Beatles the first and only artist to have the best-selling albums of two different decades: they also released the best-selling album of the 1960s, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. No tracks from Sgt. Pepper appear on this album. With this album, the Beatles also achieved having an album hit the number 1 position in the US in four non-consecutive decades (1960s, 1970s, 1990s and 2000s). This is a sealed copy of the LP and all of the pictures after the second showing the actual sealed copy are of my opened copy. This was done to indicate all of the extras contained in the LP. The four individual photos of the lads are copies of the famous Richard Avedon photos which were done in 1967 for a promotion in STERN Magazine. The large poster depicts all of the original 45 RMP picture sleeves that the original songs were issued as. THE COPY YOU ARE BIDDING ON IS GUARANTEED SEALED MINT CONDITION. I have enclosed the LP in a static free, clear sleeve to protect the sealed condition of the record. I am also including 2 anti-static sleeves so you can protect the vinyl once it is opened as the cardboard sleeves the albums come in could cause scratches when LPs are removed. These cardboard sleeves are shown in the pictures ( Green and Blue) and house the poster and Avedon prints..
