Description
In this auction:
· “THE BEATLES/1962-1966” by The Beatles
· This is Apple Records 0777 7 97036 0 9/Apple Records 717 in Stereo.
· This LP is a DOUBLE VINYL LP pressed on RED VINYL and comes in a GATEFOLD COVER.
· This LP was released February 14, 1994.
· It is a U.K. Pressing
· It is a DIGITALLY RE-MASTERED LIMITED EDITION PRESSING ON RED VINYL according to the sticker on the cover.
· The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION not far from Near Mint. Only small pushes on the 2 bottom corners and light to moderate wear on 2 corners where the shrink wrap is torn or has receded keeps me from grading this cover Near Mint. The COVER is STILL in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP! It has protected the cover well (aside from the corners I already noted) for the past almost-25 years.
· This LP comes with its 2 ORIGINAL RED CUSTOM POSTERBOARD INNER SLEEVES that have the song lyrics printed on both sides. These 2 custom inner sleeves are NEAR MINT and have NO SPLITS.
· The RED VINYL is in STRONG VG+ to NEAR MINT CONDITION depending on the side. On Disc 1, both sides have some light surface hairlines and scuffs (none are “feel-able”). I played these sides and did not find any effect on the sound. On Disc 2, both sides are Near Mint. There is some damage on the uncut-Apple label of Disc 2 that appears to have occurred at the time of manufacture.
· Also included is the RED PHOTO and CREDITS INSERT (which also promotes “The Beatles/1967-1970” LP). This INSERT is NEAR MINT.
· Despite the blemishes that I noted, it’s a GREAT LIMITED EDITION COLORED VINYL BEATLES LP in NICE CONDITION for your vinyl collection!
FYI: For this LP, I used the COVER/SLEEVE GRADES and RECORD GRADES listed and described on page 8 of the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels. These grades are Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
