DETAILS:

Original 1967 UK first pressing 13-track MONO vinyl LP with 'Gramophone Co' & 'Sold In The UK' label credits, complete with intact sheet of cut-outs and red inner sleeve.

GRADING:

Cover - Good Plus

Garrod & Lofthouse internal flipback, laminated picture sleeve.

Small corner bend on front sleeve at bottom right hand corner.

Wear around sleeve entrance.

Back sleeve of gatefold has a 2" split along the bottom seam from the sleeve opening.

A little laminate creasing on front and back sleeve.

Inside of gatefold including flipbacks are generally clean and tidy with a little light wear and a couple of creases.

Spine is readable but there is some laminate cracking and text fading along it.

Complete set of cutouts in excellent condition.

Red inner sleeve in excellent condition with just a little age discolouration and a small tear at the opening.

Record - Very Good Minus

Matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1.

'Gramophone Co' & 'Sold In The UK' label credits.

Some marks and storage scuffing.

A deeper mark/scratch at the start of Sgt Pepper which causes some clicking during the quite introduction. 

Initials SP are written on side 2 label.

From the labels the record has obviously been well played. It does still sound good when played with just a little background noise and occasional light pop.

Summary

Fairly easy to find but harder to find complete with cutouts and red inner sleeve. Please bear in mind the general condition before buying to avoid any disappointment.Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
