Description

This is The Beatles 1968 Christmas Fan Club Flexi 7 inch disc LYN 1743/1744 with insert.
The Beatles Sixth Christmas Record.
"Not for Sale. Issued free of charge to fan Club Members in December, 1968"

Unlaminated cardboard flip back sleeve, including a 'Beatles Fan Club Superpix Sales-service' leaflet as an insert.
Label text is printed on the flexi disc, not a paper label.

Due to the length of the recording (7:55) the Beatles' Christmas message was, for the first time, spread over both sides of the flexidisc.

Recorded in November 1968 at the lush London homes of Beatle John and Beatle Paul and in the back of Beatle Ringo's diesel-powered removal van Somewhere in Surrey. The voice of Beatle George is heard because Yours Faithfully, The G.P.O. did something right and joined up 6,000 miles of telephone links at an appropriate moment. Additional material was recorded earlier in the elegant Esher home of Beatle George during rehearsal sessions for "The Beatles" LP album set.
