Description
This is a very early and very rare original pressing of an album of outtakes that has had many other configurations and covers over the years. This black vinyl pressing is an import from Germany and was pressed in 1971. The inside logo features a facsimile of the famous "We Will Kill This Dog If you Don't Buy This Magazine" idea and picture from the notorious and now iconic National Lampoon magazine cover that came out a few months prior to this black vinyl release of outtakes.
This album features a very interesting and varied collection of Beatles' outtakes from Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper, and A Hard's Day's Nigh as well as some obscure outtakes from Lennon's Imagine and McCartney's Nashville recordings, and even a television outtake from the acoustic taping of MCCartney's first television special called "James Paul McCartney."
This album has been carefully stored in a plastic sleeve since I purchased it about 47 years ago. I am not a record dealer. All my e-Bay listings are from my own personal collection. If you are a fan or collector of the Beatles, you may want to follow me as a seller as I will be listing many rare and unusual Beatles related items on eBay in the coming months. I will be retiring in a few years and moving to small er quarters and have determined that I need to sell most of my extensive record collection, including my highly treasured Beatles items.
