Up for auction is an original 1966 2nd State Butcher Cover Beatles Yesterday and Today Lp.This is a Mono version of the Lp on Capitol label # T 2553.I guarantee this to be an original. It has the pasted over trunk cover with the butcher cover underneath.Ringo's dark V shaped collar is clearly visable near the right middle part of the record cover Please see picture.I tried to take a much better picture of the V shaped collar but I couldn't get as good a picture as I wanted but you can still see it.Also near the edges of the seams and spine you can see the Butcher cover lines under the pasted cover. The Butcher cover underneath is slightly shorter therefore making the lines visable underneath the pasted over cover. The top seam of the cover has a 5 1/4th inch clear piece of tape near the upper right corner Please see picture.Apparently the top right seam was split so the original owner decided to tape it.The rest of top seam has light wear but no splitting. The spine has a light 1/2 inch fray wear spot near middle of spine. The bottom seam is not split but does have some light shelf rub wear. The corners also have some wear which I have taken a picture of each corner for you to see.Front cover has a light brown stain near top of left corner and a very small light stain near lower left corner. This is pretty small see picture.Paste over cover has some ring wear and some light wear where label was on front cover.Back cover has a stain in the upper right corner and some yellowing near spine on back cover. You can also see on back cover up in the left top corner where it is taped that some of the white back cover paper is missing underneath the tape. The cardboard flap is all there but the paper on top of cardboard flap is gone on that area.I have taken several pictures and have described all the covers flaws that I see.I've been collecting records for over 20 years and I give my absolute guarantee that this is an Authentic 2nd state Beatles Butcher cover. It really is a great cover.I hate to sell it as the Beatles are my Favorite group but I have 2 so I might as well sell one.The record is original to this cover and is a Mono as is the cover.Looks to have several scratches on both sides which are mostly light but has quite afew I can feel with fingernail.Looks to have some scuffing and some groove wear also.If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund policy on all records I sell. Please E Mail for shipping prices.
