Description
These 4 Beatles records are NOT all in great shape. Please know this before bidding.
I've tested each album on my turntable (Pro-Ject Debut with Ortofon 2M red cartridge) to report details.
Rubber Soul
T 2442 - Mono - Canada (Rainbow rim label)
Sleeve - Very nice. In shrink wrap! Beautiful condition given the age. Tiny initials on back
Record - Actually plays quite nicely! Records from the 60s were much more resilient than they are today. Visually it looks pretty rough but I experienced NO skips and only few clicks here and there. Sound was warm and clean! This, along with the shrink-wrapped sleeve makes for a beautiful old MONO copy.
Sgt Peppers
MAS 2653 - Mono - Canada (Rainbow rim label)
Sleeve - rough! spine is knocked, tiny pin holes in each corner, spine is torn. Not great, but a relic nonetheless.
Record - Crackly at first listen. Doesn't overpower the music by any means, but crackle is present. Disc is worn. As an original Canadian mono press, it definitely has some value, and this is definitely a listenable copy. There's a scratch near the end of Fixing a Hole and into She's Leaving Home that has a click every time it passes.
Revolver
ST 2576 - Stereo - USA (Apple label)
Sleeve - Ok, but spine is shredded. Some clear tape on top edge.
Record - really no issues with this disc. The sleeve's spine is shredded, but the disc itself is great. Good sound! VG+
Magical Mystery Tour
SMAL 2835 - Stereo - Canada (Red capitol label)
Sleeve - VG - spine slightly knocked but overall pretty good. BOOKLET INCLUDED, though detached from staples
Record - Clean sound but some crackle here and there. No real scratches, could benefit from a wet clean. Overall quite decent!
FYI, These aren't garbage, trashed records! Just the mono ones have been in circulation for 50+ years and sometimes it shows. Overall, these records are absolutely playable and enjoyable. Remember to note sleeve condition, though. A good start for a beginner collector or Beatles completionist
