Description
Original 45 recording. (Label Variant).
Eleanor Rigby / Yellow Submarine.
The Beatles
Pressed by Parlophone? UK, 1966.
Vinyl. VG+ Light hairlines only.
Company Sleeve. EX No splits or writing. Just general wear.
Side A. Eleanor Rigby. Small font, Type 1 labels have “NORTHERN SONGS NCB” in three lines and '℗ 1966' above the matrix numbers.
A very large (almost double, no space) hyphen between Lennon & McCartney in the label credits.
- Matrix / Runout (Runoff A, variant 4): 7XCE 18395 -1 GAO KT 1
- which is a matrix for a Serif label. So I presume wrong label used.
Side B (Yellow Submarine). Serif Font. Side B the label matrices aren't in brackets and the text is in a different font (Serif), and shows 'Lennon, McCartney' writing credit. Matrix / Runoff B 7XCE 18396-1 GRP KT C. I'm unable to match this matrix with any pressing on Discogs either solid Centre or not.
Please refer to photo's.
So I think this is a 1st pressing Serif print copy with a incorrect small print label on side A. Then the B side has a unreported matrix.
Either way no copy available on Discogs or sold on Popsike.
Unless someone knows better, genuinely curious.
If you have any questions I'll do my best to reply.
