Description

Genuine 1978 Original Red Vinyl edition in the UK [title released in '73]. NO BARCODING ON THE COVERS. This example is from the original run of red vinyl 1978. Etched 'HTM'. We have the original gatefold cover and both bespoke inners too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean throughout. Clean into the fussy lowkey numbers. All I could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side [e.g. closing seconds of Michelle]. One solitary tick in 'Michelle' & 'Tripper' & in 'Eight Days'. Other than that expect a really great rendition. Chock full of all the classic songs. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) A superb looking original cover with no signs of ageing. Clean shiny flat surfaces front and back. Struggled to make out a single thumbnail. There's a two inch wear-through middle of the top edge [front]. Repaired internally it is now only a cosmetic issue. Not really that visible from front or behind - mostly just from closer vertical inspection. Hardly any sign of ageing in the interior - very tidy indeed. Minimal sign of edge wear and sharp openings. Spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex/Ex-) No ageing. Lovely clean flat untarnished surfaces. One inner has a 2c.m. side split. THAT IS ALL.
