THE BEATLES     ( RARE  1966  UK  1st PRESS STEREO ISSUE , COMPLETE WITH CORRECT INNER SLEEVE AND EARLIEST ERNEST.J.DAY COVER , ALL IN NICE CLEAN CONDITION.

A COLLECTION OF BEATLES OLDIES   

Released December 9th 1966 this was the first UK compilation album that was approved by the band even though they  had no input and were not happy about it ! Compilations had been released officialy and un-officialy in many countries but as christmas was coming , the band hadn't completed anything for release , hence the reason for this lp ! All the tracks had been released in some form in the UK apart from ' Bad Boy' , which was out in the U.S . Oddly  their first 2 hits ' Love me do' and ' Please Please me ' were not included but does included many chart hit single releases plus more. A great compilation album with some interesting mixes and edits.

COVER

This is the earliest original tri-flapped Ernest .J.Day  cover with the stereo logo located in the picture and not the border.Very clean example with bright laminate , no bubbling or lifting but some creases present.The corners are all in nice shape with only the lightest of bruising , the spine is strong and has fully readable title print ( wider E.J.D variant ) The rear panel is also very clean and bright with no writing, stains or stickers and all the flaps intact with no faults. Overall a very clean , presentable example of this rarer cover variation with nothing more to fault than some light creasing to the front panel and very minor corner bruise ( see-pics) EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION !

VINYL

Both sides have a deep glossy shine with clean deep grooves and no scratches or scuffing visable.Upon closer inspection reveals a couple of harmless wispy paper removal marks , these are very fine and only visable in bright light.Both sides play through with no pops, skips or repeats and barley any ditractions! very vibrant sound throughout , no evidence of groove wear or background noise , easy to see and hear that this has been very well cared for.A very nice looking and sounding example ( see-pics ) both Visualy and Audibly EXCELLENT CONDITION !

Original EMI advertising inner sleeve , again in very clean shape with nothing more to fault than some light creases from storage and a little toning ( see-pic) !
