LP Title : A Hard Day's Night
Label : Parlophone / PMC 1230 / 1964 / MONO
Matrix Numbers : XEX 481-3N [mother: 2 ][stamper: TD ] / XEX 482-3N [mother: 5 ][stamper: HG]
Notes : First Mono Pressing, black & yellow Parlophone labels with 'The Parlophone Co.' text around rims, 'Sold In UK...' and 'Recording First Published in 1964' text in label centres, plus 'K T' tax code embossed on the side-2 label, front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve with small solid 'Mono' text in top right corner, lined Emitex inner sleeve.
Condition : The vinyl is clean and glossy with a number of light hairline marks or scuffs plus a couple of more noticeable marks, we are playing through selected parts of this album now and any of visible marks hardly affect the quality of this heavy-duty vinyl at all, a few tiny spots of static in places but virtual silence between the songs, it actually plays NM with really sharp clarity, and warmth of sound.
The labels are clean with some spindle wear visible to the centres. The Emitex inner sleeve has some creasing and wear from use, plus a split down one side.
The sleeve has corner wear and rubbing, only light signs of edge wear and a little wear down the opening edge, there are a number of lines to the laminate on the front, and the matt surface to the rear has some light marking from use with is quite clean overall.
A really nice sounding example of this classic Beatles album.
