The Beatles' 1964 album "A Hard Day's Night" is a first pressing LP on United Artists Records. This high-fidelity vinyl record in its original mono format features a 29:21 runtime of British Invasion and pop rock music. The very good plus (VG+) cardboard sleeve and very good (VG) vinyl inlay showcase the iconic cover art in excellent condition, making it a valuable addition for collectors of 1960s rock music.
An original 1964 first pressing, Mono. Jacket is in VG+ condition and the vinyl record is in VG condition. The inner sleeve is not original.
A Hard Day's Night is the third studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on July 10, 1964 by Parlophone, with side one containing songs from the soundtrack to their film of the same name. The American version of the album was released two weeks earlier, on June 26, 1964 by United Artists Records, with a different track listing including some from George Martin's film score. Unlike their first two albums, all 13 tracks on A Hard Day's Night were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
The album includes the song "A Hard Day's Night", with its distinctive opening chord, and "Can't Buy Me Love", both transatlantic number-one singles for the band. Several songs feature George Harrison playing a Rickenbacker 12-string electric guitar, a sound that influenced the Byrds and other groups in the emerging folk rock and jangle pop genres.
The North American version of the album was #1 on the US Billboard Top LPs chart (1964-1965). It was certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA for selling 4 million copies in the US.
