A Hard Day's Night (1964)
This is an interesting anomaly! 1991 Reissue in Stereo! From 1987 all issues of this album were made from the digital transfers of the mono mix (until 2009), but this LP was pressed using the stereo masters....
The sleeve has the post-1987 catalogue numbers and states 'MONO' on the front. The record labels state PMC 1230, but have the stereo matrices printed too.
The matrices on the runout are YEX126-3-1-1-4 and YEX127-4-1 suggesting a Direct Metal Mastered press.
The LP is very clean indeed and plays superbly. The inner sleeve is solid with some creasing and has a March '91 date. The cover is solid with some wear and a small seam split at the top.
