First pressing. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print. “Recording first published 1964″ and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Labels have wider font. The title “Songs from the film A Hard Day’s Night” only appears on side 1. This version may also have variants.
Northern Songs Ltd. appears as Northern Songs Music Ltd. on label.
This Copy: - a really genuine first issue , as per above ref, and an early press of it! MKT tax code Side A = matrix , YEX 126-1. mother/stamper = 2/RP Side B = matrix YEX 127-1. mother/stamper = 1/L
The sleeve on this copy is intact, only a small amount of rubbing around edges and some light wear on the back, no major staining or rips, a few light creases - please view all photos
The original 'use emitex' lined inner is in great condition, very little creasing and no rips
There is a bit of rubbing around the centre holes both sides from past use, no writing on labels, the vinyl has some light marks from the inner sleeve, one small mark side one (see photos) which doesn'y have any negative impact - very clean and lovely vinyl for its age
It is a joy to listen to - great STEREO sound, plays fantastically well; hardly any detectable background noise - very, very nice...
