The Beatles A Hard Day's Night Hungarian Press Pepita Label VG/VG+.
Cover: VG.Nice looking overall. When viewed up close,there are some minor issues.They consist of: Very slight splitting beginning at the top center (1 1/2 inch area),Spine has bump near bottom resulting in 2 cracks (which are holding steady/not torn),Significant bump in middle of spine,resulting in split in the middle type area printing,but the entire artist/title somehow is intact and readable(!)-the entire spine is laminated and seems to have invited bends.The top back has some tiny unraveling of the laminate and small tear(see picture).It has been this way since I bought it back in the 80s.I think it hasn't deteriorated one bit since then,actually. Again,without peering closely at the whole piece, it really looks good.
Record: VG+.Upon looking under bright light,it has that "covered in multiple light scratches" look all over that signifies that someone,loved this record and didn't go overboard trying to protect it.I didn't have much hope as to how it would sound...but-surprise,it plays great! I couldn't call the disc VG++ or mint with all the light scratches(none of which are deep at all),but-playing wise-I would say it plays VG+ to VG++.There is very light crackle in between the tracks,very low volume. When the music begins it disappears. The only time I heard a light pop after the music started was the quiet,drumless/bassless intro to If I Fell and the pre-vocal intro to And I Love Her. And only one of two at that. So...very nice playing copy. And you get a unique item that was Eastern Bloc taboo until 1981.It looks and feels like a UK 60s item,strangely.
