Description
PMC1230 A 1st pressing from 1964 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -3N/-3N. Stampers 3-GDM/4-AO. Tax code - MT. The record comes housed in its original Ernest J. Day cover and includes Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex-) The vinyl retains much of its original shine and hasn't been overplayed. Under close inspection there are a few light marks apparent, but nothing feelable and certainly nothing that sounds. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and very little interference. There are one or two light crackles evident in the high-end right at the end of side 1 - but very little else. It's difficult to find a first issue that plays back to this standard....
Cover (Ex-) The front cover remains nice and shiny and only exhibits a couple of light creases. The rear has survived the years well and only suffers some light fading. The spine is fully intact. A great example of an early cover.
Emitex (Vg+) Has aged but doesn't have any markings or splits.
