Description

An original 1st mono press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. "MT" - Tax Code. Please note label design is perfectly consistent with 1st press - 'recording 1st published' is mentioned and 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text. Also note the wide-bodied chubby font is employed - these are the very 1st copies to have been produced. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono G&L cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Whether it's the low-key numbers or the uptempo ones it's all delivered with authority and aplomb. Interference is borderline non-existent. We'll do the usual catch-all...do expect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A very clean and impressive rendition...it comes highly recommended! 
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with only a couple of thumbnail creases and, then, a one inch tear at the opening. It's at the McCartney level and has been secured internally with tape, and is thus merely cosmetic. The rear seems to have escaped most of the ageing process. All flip-backs are intact and secure. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) Light ageing and a couple of blemishes. Bottom edge has split and been taped up.
