Description

An original 1st press of AHDN on UK Capitol from 1964. STEREO. Correct  labels for 1st press with the track 'i Cry Instead'. look at how the track timings were laid out on the early copies - amateurs!. The vinyl comes housed in an original pasteover rear US cover. We also have the original inner sleeve too.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of slight marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. You can tell this a 1st press because the audio is that sweet. It has the lush presentation and incredible resolution you get from a copy made right after the masters have been produced. Super audio quality. I'm picking up hardly any background. Clean into ALL areas. Just a few isolated crackles in one brruef spot per side. And there are plenty of low-key moments. Clean as a whistle.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) Let me just qualify this grading. A true Ex on this title will be a very difficult to find. And there are a couple of reasons for that. These USA originals are very open to wear. Which means 90% of copies will either have aged, a lot of surface wear, or creasing. Front and rear are just impeccable - you almost never see this. Just one slight crease on front and slight 2c.m. edge split at bottom opening [will internally tape repair]. It's even smooth to the touch which means it has been kept away from damp its entire life. Edge wear is very slight for this title.  Spine is 95% intact. ALL text legible without wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
