Description
The Beatles A Hard Day's Night MONO 1st UK Press Vinyl LP 1964 in VG/VG+ conditions. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class, FREE postage for UK buyers (not including Channel Islands).
This version's sleeve is made by Ernest J Day & Co which is slightly rarer than the more common one made by Garrod & Lofthouse. It is laminated at the front and presents some creases around the edges, rubbed corners, shelf and storage wear. At the back sleeve shows some mild age discolouration, and a tiny portion of the top part of the sleeve near the top flipback that probably had the owner's name written on but it has been somehow erased. All in all this is in VG conditions but not too far from VG+ standards.
Vinyl looks really nice, lovely sheen to it despite record is over 50 years old, and with few very light hairlines/marks (shown in pictures). I have recently listened to it and playback is flawless with the majority having really minimal surface noise and in some parts noise absolutely absent. Overall this would be in EX if not NM conditions but as there is a hiss sounding similar to an old tv set in the run-in of "A hard day's night", "I should have known better" and in "If I fell", I think it would be fair to grade the record as VG conditions. I have closely inspected the grooves and couldn't see anything wrong or damage so it probably is an actual feature of the record rather than an issue. This anyway doesn't really spoil the sound at all as it is presents only for few seconds and only in between tracks. Sound is clear and crisp which is a rarity and an absolutely joy to listen to.
It also comes with the original Emitex inner sleeve which is in good shape and has a seam split at the bottom. I will provide a new inner sleeve to the buyer as to preserve the original one.

Please note that I will be cleaning the vinyl after the auctions ends so that the new owner can enjoy an even better sound quality.

Update: as I have been asked few times about the previous owner name on the back cover, this is somehow erased by what it looks tipp-ex.
