matrix numbers Xex 481 3N / 482 3N
The main differentiator of this early pressing, compared to later versions, is the black and yellow Parlophone label with the perimeter rim copyright text, 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD • ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND OF THE OWNER OF THE RECORDING WORK RESERVED • UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED'. Above the spindle hole the centre text, 'SOLD IN THE U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS'.
The vinyl is in nice condition. A few hairlines - marks but it plays really nicely. A few crackles but none that overwhelm the music so a solid VG. Has been cleaned, so ready to play.
the sleeve is really nice - some age-related marks but the lamination is still intact (Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve) - see photos to get a full picture - I always make sure I photograph the corners so you can see what you are buying - not all sellers do this!
