Description

I’m continuing to put up for auction MORE DUPLICATE BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES & MATCHING 45 RPM RECORDS from my OWN EXTENSIVE VINYL COLLECTION. So, if you want to begin a collection of Beatles Singles Picture Sleeves or seeking to upgrade certain picture sleeves, you will definitely want to check out my other current auctions and upcoming auctions for items you may want.

In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve. NO record is included.

Here are the details about the picture sleeve in this auction:

·       “A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” b/w “I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER” by The Beatles

·       This is Capitol Records 5222.

·       This record was issued July 13, 1964.

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION. It is CLEAN and MOSTLY a FLAT SLEEVE with signs of light handling primarily at the opening and corners. There is one very tiny tear at the top opening. There are NO seam splits, NO writing and just a tiny hint of ring wear (check the images and you will see how minimal this is!)

·       This is a TAB-CUT (WEST COAST) SLEEVE.

·       This sleeve is significant because “I Should have Known Better” and “A Hard Day’s Night” were ONLY initially released/issued in the U.S. as singles by Capitol Records. These 2 songs never appeared on a Capitol Records LP. They were on the United Artists LP “A Hard Day’s Night” sound track. In fact, “I Should have Known Better” did not make it onto another Beatles LP until the “Hey Jude” LP (aka “The Beatles Again” album) released by Apple Records in 1970, six years after its release as a Capitol 45 RPM single!!

Thanks to the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels for information about this record.

FYI: I use the COVER/SLEEVE GRADES and RECORD GRADES listed and described on page 8 of Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records. These grades are Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade the 45s and picture sleeves I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. And please check my other auctions for MORE 45s and PICTURE SLEEVES you may want to add to your collection. Be high bidder on several and combine shipping on auction items that finish on the same day. Winning bidder must remit payment within 5 days of auction close by PayPal. Add $3.50 for shipping to a U.S. address with tracking.
