The Beatles, A Hard Day's Night vinyl, US first press.
This is a first press American copy of the classic UK album. In the US, it was issued as a full movie soundtrack (on United Artists label) rather than traditional a Beatles record. The cover, in particular, is really cool. You can tell it's a first press as it has 'I Cry Instead' on the label and back cover rather than the correct 'I'll Cry Instead.'
This comes from my own collection which I am downsizing. I'll try to be as honest as possible so you know what you're getting:
The cover is pretty good, nice and sturdy for its age. But it does have a bit of wear to some of the edges and spine. There's also a small tear to the paper on the back cover, bottom left. Overall, its decent.
The inner sleeve has a bit of age related wear here and there but is overall pretty good. It does have splits to two sides.
The record labels are fairly good, though held up to light does bear some wear marks around the rim. Visually, the vinyl is average, with a number of scuffs and hairline marks on both sides. I'm afraid I don't know how it plays as I don't have the capacity to play these anymore. But it has been in my collection, unplayed for a number of years.
Overall, this is a chance to buy a cool alternative version of this legendary album - and not that easy to get hold of in the UK. But it is 'well loved.'
