THE BEATLES, ABBEY ROAD. Stereo PCS 7088 1969 Original U.K. APPLE 1st Pressing. Dark Green Apple labels with No "HER MAJESTY" on Side 2. Matrix numbers: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1.
Sleeve: Ex
The sleeve looks fantastic. It would be NM if not for very slight wear to the corners. Both the front and back both retain original gloss sheen and bright colours and are without blemishes. The rear has no “Her Majesty” on track listing. Spine is in perfect condition as can be seen in the pictures. A really great sleeve.
Inner: Very Good
Original black inner sleeve is apple original in great condition other than a couple of small tears around the center. An additional, new, anti-static inner sleeve is also provided which the disc is stored within (last picture).
Disk: Very Good +
Audibly the discs are excellent - one of the best copies of Abbey Road that I have had the pleasure of listening to. The sound is crisp, clear and sharp. 'Because' is just fantastic - sends shivers down the spine. Both discs retain original mirror-like finish. Side 1 has three few visible scratches over the first three tracks which have cause a very slight pop but which do not detract from the audio experience. Side 2 is cleaner with only a few non-feelable marks however the label does have some wear from the removal of a sticker. Otherwise the labels are very clean with minimal spindle wear.
All in all a very nice copy for the collector of an increasingly rare misprint edition.
Vinyl comes in a polythene outer sleeve and packaged in a padded vinyl mailer.
