The Beatles ?– Abbey Road Label: Apple Records ?– PCS 7088 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album Country: UK Released: 26 Sep 1969 Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A Variant 1): YEX 749-2 Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B Variant 1): YEX 750-1 This version is the "first label, revised cover" version: Dark green labels with a whole apple on the A-side label and a half, sliced-open apple on B-side. The labels have the "(An E.M.I. Recording)" text on two lines and small "33 1/3" text moved to the left side. Publishing year printed with a small ? symbol. The B-side label does not have "Her Majesty" credits. The labels are quite dark, although the actual shade of green varies between copies. Comes in a full laminated cover without flaps on the back side. The front cover has the drain showing, the rear cover has the Apple logo aligned with the text, and 'Her Majesty' is not listed.
Vinyl Audio: Side 1: Very Good. No skips or jumps. A couple of crackles in the middle of the first track. Light background crackle at the start of the second track. Noticeable background clicks approx. 2 mins into last track that lasts until it fades away for the final instrumental bit of the song. Some crackle during the gaps between tracks. Side 2: Very Good. No skips or jumps. Light back ground crackle during first four tracks (and the last track 'Her Majesty' track). The rest sounded fine. Just some crackle during the gaps between tracks. Vinyl Visual: (please see photo's of both sides of vinyl) Side 1: Looks in reasonable condition. Some light needle marks and one more visible needle mark over the last track that causes the aforementioned click Side 2: Looks in reasonable condition. Some light needle marks and a more visiible scratch and scuff marks around about 6 0 Clock on the vinyl in relation to the label Overall - despite what I have stated above - it had a great sound to it. Labels Side 1: Very Good except scratch across top right. Name written in black (against black background) to left. Please see close up photo of label. Side 2: Very Good Plus. Please see close up photo of label. Sleeve: Very Good Plus - some early stage ring wear; some minor creasing to the laminate; a small tear in the middle of the spine and a small mark in the middle of the front cover. As you will see from the photo's of the front and back cover and the spine - it is in very good condition for its age. Plain white inner sleeve
