The Beatles - Abbey Road
(Apple PCS 7088 UK LP 1969)
This is a very early 1970's UK LP pressing in very nice condition. It has a fully laminated sleeve which has a factory "pinched" top & bottom spine. The sleeve is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse International". It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has slightly lighter green "Apple" labels. The record has YEX 749-2 and YEX 750-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are POD 6 and PHD 2 respectively. The rear of the sleeve omits the track "Her Majesty". Side 2's label includes the track "Her Majsety". I have some other UK original 1960's Beatles LP's for sale. So please see my other listings.
Sleeve: There is some light or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild hairline rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not that noticeable. There is a 11 cm laminate crease on the front sleeve. This is at the bottom sleeve opening area. There is a 4.5 cm laminate crease at the corner tip area of the bottom sleeve opening too. This goes through the sleeve to a varying degree. It is more noticeable on the rear sleeve. There are about 8 small & light hairline creases at the spine area. A couple of these creases have left a hairline crease mark on the face of the spine. Otherwise, the spine is in great condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. Overall, the sleeve is Very Good+ condition
Vinyl: There is a very mild 6 cm hairline surface mark that arches across slightly on Side 1. There are two very light 4 cm hairline surface marks on Side 1. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. There is a mild 2 cm hairline surface mark at the start of Side 2. Otherwise, there are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, the vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only.
The company plain inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There is mild to more moderate fading. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall a very decent audio copy.
