The Beatles - Abbey Road First Press 1969 PCS 7088 Stereo
For the collectors: First press copy (see matrix numbers below) the Apple logo on the rear is aligned, it has the original black single die cut inner sleeve, there is no "Her Majesty" titled with The End, and the laminated sleeve is by Garrard and Lofthouse.
VINYL is EX. Still has a very good sheen, a few minor hairlines but plays excellently and still sounds great, in fact I was very surprised at the sound quality of this record (it's about as good as it gets for a vinyl lp) as typically Beatles lps come with audio faults. So no jumps, no deterioration in sound, it seems it has been properly looked after for a change! Thoroughly play tested on a Dual CS503 turntable.

LABELS are VG (1) / EX (2) No writing, marks or damage. Side one has Green Shield Stamp (very iconic of the period itself) on it. This may come off with some solvent or lighter fluid, but I've left it be as it kinda of goes with the period of the record.
COVER is EX The Garrard and Lofthouse laminated sleeve is in fantastic condition for its 44 years. No issues and no laminate loss or tears. I'm tempted to keep the LP for myself as the cover is so iconic and it's a great copy of it, but I have to draw a line with my vinyl addiction somewhere!INNNER BAG is EX Black die cut bag has a bit of ruffling at top entry point but overall in great shape.

I have been collecting and working with records for 30 years and spent almost all of the 80’s working in a vinyl record shop, so when I grade records I will often be conservative and undergrade, which means nothing that is secondhand is ever graded Mint, even if it looks un-played. I have 100% feedback on EBay and most of my records will be listed as VG or EX even if they are in better condition. If you are looking for mint 40 year old records, then they don't exist! A record loses that grading when it is sold and played. Mint for me and for the Record Collector grading means new and never played, in other words, straight from the shop. If it's 40 years old the best possible grading is an EX or lower. Time will have ensured that the record will not be in perfect condition. Please bare this in mind before bidding. Records are graded according to the official Record Collector grading guide below.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
