Description
1st pressing of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label from 1969. Heavy set vinyl. Matrix -2/-1. Stampers 1-ARO/4MMT. No mention of 'Her Majesty' on the labels indicating that this is the first of the 1st pressings. Please note this copy comes housed in the very first edition sleeve with the Apple Logo misaligned on the rear. 100% original & 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex) Looks to have only seen light use and remains in great condition. Under close inspection I can see a couple of light marks on side 1. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with only occasional light interference. There is a couple of marks which cause a few crackles in the first two tracks. For the remainder of the record playback is close on excellent with real clarity and resolution. These early copies do standard out as the defacto go to copies for best audio - and this copy is no exception.
Cover (Ex) It's still shiny front and back with vivid colours and only exhibits some light ring wear. Edge wear is minimal. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity and the text on the spine is 100% intact. A beautiful example of this original 1st variation cover.
Inner (Vg) One split and some ageing.
