Description
PCS 7088
The cover is the original, first issue, fully laminated sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. RARE MISPRINT: Apple Logo misaligned to Side 1 track listing on rear sleeve and no mention of “Her Majesty”. The front cover has more of the crossing at the bottom edge of the cover, and includes a portion of a square sewer cover positioned on the bottom edge of the cover, beneath Ringo and John's feet. The original photograph was later enlarged to include less of the trees and crossing and a larger image of the beetles. There is a small tear to bottom edge near opening and slight oxbow creasing to laminate near opening. Apart from that the laminate in clean and glossy, no discolouration and spine is free from blemishes or cracking. Graded as Very Good +
White inner sleeve has the “Patent Applied For” and “Made n England” messages, and shows only mild creasing and imprint of the record. Graded near mint.
Dark green apple with “Mfd. in U.K.”, without “Sold in U.K. subject…” label text. Rare label variation, without “Her Majesty” credit. Slight spindle marks when viewed under bright light, no scratches to the lovely heavy vinyl. Graded as near mint
Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 749 A-3U; Side 2: YEX 750-1.
