Description

An original 1st Uk press of AR from '69. Matrix 2/1. No Her Majesty on the labels indicating absolute 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original laminated cover with MIS-ALIGNED apple logo. This is effectively the very 1st iteration of the Abbey Road cover. We also have an original generic inner from the time too. And we will ship in a quality black lined inner sleeve to complete the aesthetic.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Labels imply relatively little use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slight marks per side - one does just about sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly Excellent+ level of playback with ONE DEVIATION. A really decent player and plays fully clean with just only one brief snag, This is one of the cleanest players I've ever witnessed. Just perfectly clean signal even into the fussy numbers on side 2...E.g. YNGMYM & Sun King...Much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces. VERY unusual to find AR playing fully clean through the fussy numbers. It has clearly only seen light use - that is the only way to have survived in this condition over this period of time.. There is only one brief issue in "Something". A small mark causes 7-8 ticks. They are not upfront and not really distracting. That is the ONLY issue across the entire two sides. 99.5% perfect...0.5% minor issue. Highly recommended. Don't wait around....you'll kick yourself!....
Cover (Ex-) A really smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50 years use. But this one is exhibiting excellent colour retention and is in really great condition. Clean surfaces with a couple of thumb nails on the front. The rear looks superb - ditto with two thumbnails. Hardly any edge wear and nice pointy cornrers.. VERY tidy looking all. The spine is 98% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
