This is an auction for: The Beatles – Abbey Road – Original Vinyl LP album 1969.
Original UK Pressing from 1969.
Mis-Aligned Apple Logo on the back of the sleeve.
NO "Her Majesty" on the back of the sleeve or on the centre label.
- Matrix / Runout (Side A Run Out): YEX 749-2
- Matrix / Runout (Side B Run Out): YEX 750-1
Vinyl Condition: G (The record has surface marks, scuffs and scratches visible on both sides but is in good shape for its age and plays well. There are a number of scratches visible in places but these are pretty superficial. The record plays well. It is a bit crackly and has improved each time I play it. There is surface crackle throughout and some clicks and pops heard in places but no sticks or jumps. The centre label on side 1 has a name written in pen and the label on side 2 also has some pen writing. Please see pictures. Overall the record has marks and scratches and crackles but does play well and is enjoyable).
Inner Sleeve Condition: G (Original black inner sleeve has some white stains on both sides. There are corner folds and creases and the centre hole has some rips/tears. Overall in good intact condition and nice to still have the original black inner).
Outer Sleeve Condition: G/VG (Fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in nice condition for its age. There is some corner wear and some creases to the laminate but overall nice condition. There are come large creases to some of the corners, in keeping with the age really. Overall a nice condition sleeve. The sleeve has the mis-aligned apple on the back).
I grade my records as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.
