Description
In this auction:
· “ABBEY ROAD” by The Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records SO 383.
· This LP title was originally issued October 1, 1969.
· The Cover is a Capitol and EMI-marked cover (visible in the lower area of the rear cover).
· The COVER is a posterboard cover (with image printed directly onto the posterboard), and the cover DOES NOT LIST “Her Majesty” on the rear.
· There is NO bar code on the cover.
· This LP is in MINT STILL SEALED CONDITION and still in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP that has “breathe holes”. There is a 2-inch tear in the shrink wrap near the lower left corner and a tiny corner push on the top right corner. The shrink wrap is split 8 ½ inches on the opening. This allowed me to peek inside at the label to see if it was an orange Capitol label (issued 1976 to 1978) or a purple Capitol label issued 1978 to 1983.
· This LP has PURPLE CAPITOL LABELS so this confirms that it was issued 1978-1983. Please check the image taken inside the cover.
· Despite the 8 ½ inches that the shrink wrap is split along the opening, it is STILL A MINT STILL SEALED LP, because 3 ½ inches of the shrink wrap at the opening is still intact and prohibits removal of the vinyl. A piece of clear tape has been applied to prevent the shrink wrap from splitting the entire length of the opening.
It’s hard to find Beatles LPs still sealed/unopened. This LANDMARK BEATLES LP one would make a fine addition to your vinyl collection!!!
