THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
This superbly preserved UK 1st pressing of their final studio album dates from initial September 1969 release.
On the dark green Apple Records label: PCS 7088
Matrix numbers: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1
Stamper numbers: 4/HP & 1/LD
Disc weight: 151g
The disc is housed within a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the Apple logo misaligned beneath the rear track-listing.
This copy was originally exported to the U.S. where it was shrinkwrapped for sale and is still encased within that original shrinkwrapping.
Complete with original 'Patent No.' plain white inner-sleeve.

A truly beautiful set with no spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole and just one or two visible with a magnifying glass on side 2.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine super-clean playing surfaces which retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. The only significant blemish is a faint 2cm non-feelable fingernail scuff on side 2. Even close inspection beneath halogen light can reveals little more a few wispy paper marks from the inner and a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
Despite showing virtually no signs of play this pressing is a little noisy in places, mostly in the some quieter sections. However, this amazing cut bears no trace of any groove/playwear or any clicks, pops, jumps or any other audible distraction of any kind.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A truly exceptional example which looks as good today as it left the store 47 years ago. We have not removed the shrink but can see everything beneath is glossy & unworn. In fact, apart from a small 'thumbnail' wrinkle above the 'A' of the Abbey Road' wall lettering on the rear panel, there little else to fault. The shrink itself is 99% intact with just a small tear to the lower left corner. Both seams and the spine are fully intact, making this a tough one to upgrade.
