THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
This superb sounding UK pressing of their 1969 masterpiece dates from c.1974 on the light green Apple Records label: PCS 7088
Matrices: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-2U
This pressing retains the 1969 1st pressing matrix on side 1 but the side 2 is a re-cut made at Apple Studios.
Stamper codes: 3/HRL & 1/GA
Vinyl weight: 112g
Housed in fully laminated UK printed cover with the scarce 'pinched ends' spine.
Complete with its original 'Patents No. 1,125,555,' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: MINT -Clean & bright with just a small handful of spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Disc: EXCELLENT +
Factory-fresh playing surfaces bearing just two very, light surface scuffs on side 2 which affect neither sound or play.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
A wonderful sounding copy which retains all of the warmth and presence of the 1969 pressing with the added intrigue of the great sounding '2U' cutting on side 2. The sound quality throughout is superb with our play-check detecting just 3 light ticks at the end of fade of 'You Never Give Me Your Money', but no further audible issues.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
Clean, glossy & fully intact with light storagewear and small edge wrinkles but no significant or major faults.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with no splits/stresses to any seam.
