Description

A 1st pressing of Abbey Road from 1969 on the UK Apple label. Matrix 2/1. Stampers 4-HH/7-TA. Please note the labels of this LP do not mention 'Her Majesty' - this is indicative of 1st pressing. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover also included is the original black inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) In truly superb condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The only interference we could vaguely make out was a couple of crackles at the start of the final track on side 1 and briefly in the intro to track 1 on side 2. Both are fleeting and very very minor. Audio quality overall is absolutely top-level. It is very easy to rave on about these early copies - but it is no surprise they are so sought after..they're amazing!
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and that iconic front cover looks superb with just a couple of light creases. The rear looks good too with just a few more creases evident. The spine is pretty much intact too and overall the cover retains great rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Slight creasing and two side splits [couple of inches].
