Description
Let me first start by saying I'm not in the record business. I am, however, in the vintage audio hi-fi business so occasionally I acquire a collection of records that accompany a purchase of stereo equipment. Recently, I made one such acquisition and now I'm working through the records to get them listed on eBay. I don't utilize the eBay "grading" system but instead, I try to describe the condition and performance to the best of my ability. Records that I get which aren't really nice go straight to the donation stack. I only put quality albums up for sale.
I have played this record from The Beatles from start to finish on both sides without issues. Per my research on Discogs, this is the "second batch" version with Her Majesty listed after "The End" on the back of the jacket. Apparently, according to Discogs, this jacket version is the rarest of the 3 versions. The sewer panel is visible.
The jacket is in what appears to be the original shrink wrap. The jacket is in really nice condition in my opinion and I think you'd be proud to put it in your collection. Even the original price sticker from Korvette's is on the shrink, pretty nostalgic. The condition of the actual vinyl is very nice and it plays wonderfully. The original owner (a local music lover who recently passed away) took very good care of his collection. I would grade it well above average to use my own words. The widow informed me that her late husband only ever used a Shure V15 or Grado cartridge in his turntable.
