Description

This is an ultra rare test pressing of The Beatles' song " Across The Universe".This version was pressed before Phil Spector's involvement and was re-mixed and re-mastered into its"official" release on Let It Be.The song was recorded on Feb. 4 ,1968 at Abbey Road Studios in London.This version runs faster and with different production elements than the later released mix by Spector. This version was eventually given to The World Wildlife Fund for use on a compilation fund raising album.This is a 7 inch test pressing of that version.It runs at 33 1/3 rpm.It as recorded in MONO,while the released version was issued in stereo.The label has the number 5Q3 -Mono and a date of 1969.The flip side of the record has a plain white label and is pressed with several different engineer test tones. The disc is in excellent condition along with original plain white sleeve.This is only my personal opinion.Please look at the photos to form your own opinion.A very rare item.
