Description

This single is the very first pressing of The Beatles All You Need Is Love that was withdrawn very quickly after being released due to 2 printing errors on the record labels. It is very rare/hard to find and highly sought after amongst Beatles collectors. Released in 1967 on the Parlophone label, catalogue number R 5260  7XCE 18425 / 7XCE 18426  it was very quickly withdrawn from sale as on the A side, All You Need Is Love, under the Lennon/McCartney song writing credits it doesn't have printed "Recorded during "Live" World Television Transmission" and also doesn't have printed under The Beatles name, "Producer: George Martin" All subsequent releases of this single had the "Recorded during "Live" World Television Transmission" and George Martin producer credits printed on the record label. It is also the full, centre circle release, again later releases had holes punched out. On the B side the K T pressing marks are quite clearly visible. The record itself I would say is in good condition. Obviously given its age, when pivoted, extremely light surface marks can be seen but these are so light they in no way affect the playing of the record. In fact the A side sounds lovely, with very little crackles audible. If I am being very critical, there is just a slight bit of distortion in the sound here and there on the B Side but again this is knit picking. Overall very clean. The record labels themselves are in excellent condition with all text still printed clearly with next to no wear & tear visible. Side A is near perfect, Side B when pivoted in the light, has some light marks visible around the centre hole where it has been placed on the record player. Again though, given the records age, they are in excellent condition. As mentioned this record is very hard to find and rarely comes up for sale and anybody wanting to own a copy of this rare record would be very happy with this copy.  Because of the value of the record it will be posted out Royal Mail UK Signed For 2nd Class Service.
