Description
Very first UK press of The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl - owned from new by me and played only a couple of times.
The matrix numbers are YEX 969-1 and YEX 970-1.
If you look at the perimeter print you’ll see it is silver and in capitals, second presses are grey and in lower case. The wording is also slightly different, a first press will have UNAUTHORISED COPYING PUBLIC PERFORMANCE AND BROADCASTING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED from around the 5 o’clock postion whilst a second press will read Unauthorised public performance broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited.
The gatefold cover is in excellent condition. There is the odd mark here and there but, if you know the sleeve, you'll know that they are virtually impossible to keep clean.
The inner sleeve is also in excellent condition, just the odd minor crease (I have the record stored in a seperate inner).
The record itself, to the naked eye, appears to be in beautiful condition. It has a lovely shine with hardly a mark to be seen. The last time I played it I noted that it played perfectly. I didn't note any crackle at the time but, for selling purposes, I'll add that there may be the odd spot here and there though bear in mind that, being a live recording, any "noise" may come from the source.
