I play both sides of every record I sell so you can be certain you are buying a disc that has been checked for skips, pops and repeating.
I think this is the UK first press. It has "the Parlophone co" on the rim of the label and "sold in the U.K." On the sleeve the word "mono" is mid sized and hollow (i.e. not infilled in black).
I say that I think it's a first press because it ticks all the boxes except I can't find any evidence that it's a G&L sleeve. ?
This record plays without any of the above defects, but there is the occasional crackle on the dead wax between songs and at the start of each side.
Apart from that there are no skips or jumps or pops.
Visually the record displays surface marks on both sides but they do not affect playback.
The sleeve is in OK condition for a 50+ year old cover. There is some creasing to a corner, and some tape fighting a losing battle down the spine and some ring wear to the rear.
In summary: if you're a Beatles afficianado and looking for a mint copy then I doubt this is for you. However, it plays OK despite its far from mint appearance, has crackle in occasional places, sleeve condition is consistent with its age (although that ancient clear spine tape might be an issue for some) and overall is an acceptable addition until that "as new" copy comes along!
