Description
Original 1st UK mono pressing of the 4th Beatles LP “Beatles For Sale” from 1964.
Matrix numbers / mothers / stampers:
Side 1: XEX 503-4N / 1 / GPO
Side 2: XEX 504-3N / 4 / TG
KT tax code on side 2 label
Vinyl grades as VG visually with lots of fine non feelable scuffs and hairlines in normal light. It is fully play tested and plays EX to EX+. There were no audible background noise, crackles, clicks, pops, sticks or jumps. A couple of very light crackles heard in the spaces between tracks only, although mostly this was very quiet/silent too. Plays really well, a testament to these heavy weight 60s mono pressings. Genuinely really nice distortion free audio. Overall grade VG+ taking into account both visual and play grade.
The sleeve is VG+. No major issues but does have some small tearing/wear on the corners where the gatefold sleeve opens. Otherwise light general handling/storage wear. Certainly doesn’t look brand new but nothing major either. See photos.
The inner is VG+ with some discolouration.
