Description

When I was growing up in the 60’s and 70’s when ever a new Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones or Beatles album was released I just had to have it. And so I bought them the week, if not the day, they were released. Every album. I ended up in the electronics/music business as a vocation and so I continued to pursue this passion.  When Mobility Fidelity Sound Labs came out with the big box sets of The Stones and Beatles I bought them to even though I had all those records and the CDs already.   So when Parlophone released “The Beatle Collection” I of course purchased that one as well. Ridiculous as it may seem it been 46 years ago that I purchased this set and I don’t believe I have ever listened to it, even once.  A passion for collecting can make you do strange things!  I did opened the sealed set (I know a mistake) but I always exchanged the original record slipcovers for rice paper ones (I bought them by the hundreds).

This is the British version by Parlophone not the US release by Capital Records.  Sgt. Peppers album has the insert that came with the original release of the record (see photo).  “The Beatles” or as some people know it “The White Album” has all four of the individual photos of each Beatle as well as the large color poster that came with the original release of that record (again see photos). Also included  are the cardboard inserts with the lyrics to all the songs. There is also an album called The Beatles “Rarities” which differs from the US (Capital records) release in that “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You” are sung in German not English.  Some of you might know that early on The Beatles played in German "Strip Clubs" and more than likely sang in German.  And yes, back then "Strip Clubs" had live bands to accompany the dancers. The blue box that contains the albums is in good shape except for a slight crease, not a tear, on he the upper left side where the box opens (see photo). In total, with the  The Beatles “Rarities” album, there are 13 LP's.   I have sold many records over the years on eBay so please check out my feedback.
