Well, this is one of THE defining moments of the group's career, and certainly one of their favorite live performances, as described by both John and Ringo. This EP is gold (yellow), which looks very cool. Being that it was a live performance in 1963, the recording sounds relatively good. It was probably recorded live by Beatles roadie Mal Evans, and he was positioned at the sound board. So the EQ of the record is surprisingly deep, with good lows and crisp highs.

The EP contains some of the banter between the Beatles and its well-heeled crowd. Here, before introducing "Twist and Shout," John utters his famous line for the people "in the cheaper seats to clap their hands, and the rest just rattle your jewelry." Brilliant. What a group! What a memorable performance!
