The Beatles Christmas Album, 1970

The Beatles Fan Club

 

Each year from 1963 to 1969, the Beatles recorded a short Christmas message for their fans, composed of carols, skits, jokes, and thanks to the loyal "Beatle People". Each recording was pressed onto a 7" flexi disc and mailed free to members of the Fan Club. In 1970, in the wake of the band's break-up, they released this compilation of all seven, which was only available via the fan club, therefore it is quite rare.

 

This is an Original 12" Vinyl Record, in excellent condition.

The sleeve is thick card, with square photos of the Beatles on a blue background. The reverse side has the play list, and images taken from the flexi disc covers. There is just some slight wear to the edges of the cardboard sleeve.

The vinyl itself appears undamaged; “Bell Sound” is inscribed on the inner ring, and the iconic Apple image is printed on the central labels.

 

Record collector valuation lists show this item to be worth at least £150.

 

This item is being sold by Barnardo’s Books and Music, Withington, Manchester.

 

This item may be collected free of charge from the shop, or can be posted within the UK for £2.99.
