Description
Once again I am confused. Discogs.com and other online sources keep referring to this as being in a blue box. I'm old, but not that old, and it is clearly a black box. The album number matches - EAS-50031-44. When you open the lid the "OBI" says Toshiba/EMI, yet all the record labels are Apple. Whatever. I should know better than to trust the internet.
BREAKING NEWS! The box set is in fact numbered, which means I AM that old. Small black decal with faded gold lettering righton front below the OBI: "NO 06638" Should I raise the price? Nah.
Moving right along. The Black box and OBI are not in the best shape. No dents or scratches on the box, but the glue on the hinge is wrinkled on the outside and coming off on the inside, yet it still functions fine. The OBI is in rougher shape - corner tears, dents, and if you look at the top front edge above the yellow highlighted text on the left I'd swear a small, buck-toothed critter tried to take a bite out of it.
Now that I've run down it's condition, lets talk about the contents. Besides the albums there is a song list sheet (I think) all in Japanese text. What I liked was the poster. Pretty good size pictures of our 4 favorite mop-tops. It's been folded for a long time, so the creases are there forever, but they don't go across the photos, and I'd say it's in really good shape.
The albums!! They are all the covers from the British releases. In fact they are the British releases. Took me awhile to figure out why Magical Mystery Tour was missing, but eventually found that album was a creation of the USA. I would grade all the album covers and the albums as mint, but I'm an optimist and not going to take a magnifying glass to them looking for flaws, so call the covers near mint. The albums themselves appear to have never been played, or even out of their plasticine sleeves. My brother was a "collector", as well as a DJ and record store owner, so he has left most of his album collection untouched.
Ok. Enough. The albums are:
Please Please Me With the Beatles A Hard Days Night Beatles For Sale Help! Rubber Soul Revolver Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band The Beatles (White Album) Yellow Submarine Abbey Road Let It Be Rarities

And now you know as much as I know - more than I wanted to know. Enjoy!
I will try to emphasize NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, but no one pays any attention to this and go ahead and bid anyway. Be warned it is not cheap and I WILL NOT PAY FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING! If you want it that bad, you can pay for it yourself.
