Description

This is the same record I listed a few weeks ago but due to a family emergency I had to end early. Please see pictures at bottom for better view. Here's an original Beatles 45 on Vee Jay label # 498.Has Beatles spelled correctly on labels.Songs are titled Please Please Me on one side with the song Ask Me Why on the other side. The good news is this record looks nice and plays great but the bad news is it has a bad warp. When I purchased this at an Estate Sale years ago it was in a normal 45 record carrying case with a handle along with several other 45s.This record was the very first record in front with all the other records tilted with their weight on it which caused a bad storage warp.I tried to place it between 2 flat objects and just left it for a decent amount of time but no luck.I'll leave it up to a collector with more knowledge of record warps to try to flatten it if they wish. The warps a bit hard to describe. With the record on turntable in one complete revolution spin you can see two very noticeable warps.Flip the record over and its also the same with two very noticeable warps per each revolution.Even though the warps are extremely noticeable both songs play all the way through with no jumping or skipping on my turntable. Both played terrific. The Please Please Me side of record looks very nice with a small amount of very light scratches and a small amount of light non feelable scratches.Has a very small scratch which starts at outside of record on trail in area that only touches first 4 or 5 grooves only. This scratch can be lightly felt. Also has a slightly less than 3/8th of an inch long scratch that can also be felt.Neither scratch affects play at all.Has some very fine very light surface scratches caused by light scuffing. There's not alot of these.Still has good shine.Grooves are a solid color of a mix between black and gray.Very nice label.Has a small black ink line mark near bottom on the VJ 498.Please see picture. The Ask Me Why side is very nice with a small amount of very light scratches.Has a small amount of very fine very light scratches caused by scuffing.A very small amount only.Has a few very small scratches on the trail in area before song begins which do not touch the grooves. Also a few small scratches on trail off area only.Grooves have some graying but still has some black as well.Label in terrific shape. The matrix numbers on trail off area are as follows. The Please Please Me side has 63-2967  Has RA and then a small triangle and 46527.Also has AudioMatrix stamped and MR in a circle as well. The Ask Me Why side has 63-2968 then has a triangle with 46527-X and then RA.Also has AudioMatrix and a MR in a circle stamped as well. Both sides play tested and play as follows. The Please Please Me side plays terrific with no ticks or pops. Also no background noise. The Ask Me Why side also plays wonderfully with no pops or ticks.Has a few short spots of background hiss/crackle during very quiet part of song.I heard this on only a few spots.Would be A Wonderful looking record if you can flatten it a bit.As with all records I sell if buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund.
