Description
This is the original first Mono pressing of the album "A Hard Day's Night" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number PMC 1230. These early Parlophone copies are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy is an outstanding example. Matrix numbers are: Side 1, XEX-481-3N, Side 2, XEX 482-3N Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock 7, 3 O clock ALH, Side 2, 9 O clock G, 3 O clock AAL
The labels have "The Parlophone Company" rim and "Sold in UK".
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and neither side displays any scratches, scuffs or or other surface marks. The vinyl surfaces gleam, almost as good as new. The labels remain factory bright and have light spindle lines.
The record is housed in an original Emitex inner that has no splits or other damage. The sleeve remains white and clean. The outer Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve is in great shape with only one small thumb nail crease to the front bottom edge (very small). The rear of the sleeve has lightly discoloured and is a very light cream colour.
An outstanding example of a very collectable piece
