Description
This is the original first pressing of the 7" single "Love Me Do" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number 45-R 4949. These early Parlophone copies are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy is a lovely Very Good condition. Matrix numbers are: Side 1, 7XCE 17144-N, Side 2, 7XCE 17145-1N Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock PZT1, 3 O clock 0, Side 2, 9 clock PZT1, 3 O clock G.
The labels have "The Parlophone Company" rim and is without the "Made in Gt Britain text".
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and there are no needle scratches but the are a number of superficial handling marks (picking up, putting down etc) on both sides. However these are light and do not affect play. The record plays through loud and clear with no skips loud ticks or jumps.
Both labels are bright and clear with no writing or other damage.
This is a nice item that has survived remarkably well for 54 years. How time flies.
A Very Good example of a very collectable piece
